In re JOHN HALLIDAY. DECEASED. I John Halliday of St. John's Newfoundland being weak in body but of a sound mind and memory for which I humbly thank Almighty God the ever blessed Maker and preserver of all do make this my last will and testament I leave the interest of the house and land on the British Society's ground to my wife Jane Halliday and Jannet my daughter for their joint occupancy during their lives and the cash that may be due me for my life insurance shall be placed at interest for the benefit of my family before named, and I hereby nominate and appoint my good friends James Johnstone Rogerson and John English of St. John's Newfoundland my executors to this my last will and testament.In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and attached my seal this twenty eighth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five.
