Will of John Joseph Grangel

IN RE:   JOHN JOSEPH GRANGEL.    DECEASED

This is the last Will and Testament of me John Joseph Grangel of Topsail Road in the Electoral District of St. John's West, in the Island of Newfoundland Farmer.

I give devise and bequeath unto my son Patrick Grangel all and singular my lands houses property and effects of every description, that I may die possessed of, to hold the same in his own right absolutely and forever. Subject nevertheless to the following terms and conditions.

First, that he shall maintain and support my daughter Mary Ellen until such time as she shall marry, when all obligation for such support and maintenance shall cease.
And Second upon the condition that should my son Daniel, who is now absent from the Colony, return to Newfoundland, and should he desire it, he (the said Patrick) shall convey to him one quarter of an acre of the land hereby devised, situate on Topsail Road.

I hereby nominate and appoint the said Patrick Grangel as sole Executor of this my said Will.

In witness whereof I the said John Joseph Grangel have hereunto my hand subscribed and set at St. John's aforesaid this 25th day of August Anno Domini One thousand nine hundred and five.
