In re: JOHN DONOVAN . DECEASED.
This is the last will and testament of me John Donovan, of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland, Municipal Turnkey. I revoke all former wills by me at any time made, and I appoint my brother, James Donovan, the Executor of this my will.
I give and bequeath my freehold parcel of land situate on Pennywell Road to my daughter May and my son John in equal shares as tenants in common.
I give and bequeath my household furniture and any cash on hand or in bank of which I may die possessed to my said two children to be divided equally between them.
I give and bequeath my leasehold land and premises No. 15 Gear Street, where I at present reside to my said two children, my wife Emma, and any children of mine that may be born of my said wife, to be held between all in equal shares as tenants in common.
I will and direct that my just debts and my funeral and testamentary expenses shall, if necessary, be paid first out of the proceeds of the sale of the piece of freehold land on Pennywell Road hereinbefore referred to, and which sale I hereby empower my said executor to make if required. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St. John's aforesaid this tenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and Fourteen.
