In re JOHN DEANE. DECEASED. In the name of God Amen. I John Deane of St. John*s Mason and labourer being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding but mindful of my mortality do this twenty ninth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following First I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and I desire to be buried with as little expense as possible. I have now at my credit in the Sav ings Bank about fifty four pounds currency Mr. Edward Morris of the Bank is indebted to me in the sum of one pounds cy. and I desire my executors to sell my bed and bedding and effects and to pay my funeral expenses and also the sum of one pound ten shillings to the widow Hannon which sum I owe her.About twenty one years ago I fell indebted to Messrs. Perkins & Morgans of South East pier head Swansea in Wales in the sum of about fifty pounds sterling and it is my desire and request that my executors shall draw my money from the Savings Bank and after paying my funeral expenses and Mrs. Hannon aforesaid remit the balance then remaining on their hands to the Reverend Charles Kavanagh, R.C. Clergyman now living at South West Swansea to be by his Reverance paid over to the aforesaid Perkins & Morgans the said Perkins & Morgans at the time above mentioned were Colm and Coal Merchants and Father Kavanagh will please take their receipt and forward to me or one of my executors. And I nominate and appoint Mr. Henry Roach and Mr. James Power executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former and other wills and testaments by me at any time heretofore made. In witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament set and subscribed my hand and seal at St. John*s, Newfoundland the day and year first above written.
