Will of John Bastow
Bastow John. Last will of.

This is the last will and testament of me John Bastow of Saint John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Farmer. I appoint my son Marldon Allan Bastow sole executor of this my will. I give and bequeath unto my sons John Albert the said Marldon Allan, Ernest Augustus and Francis Olliver Bastow and to my daughter Isabella Helena King and to my grandson John Knight all that money standing in my name upon deposit in the Union Bank of Newfoundland to the amount of nine hundred and forty dollars or thereabouts and the interest and dividends arising therefrom in equal proportions share and share alike. Also I give and bequeath unto my said sons and daughter and grandson all that money standing in my name in the Newfoundland Savings Bank upon deposit and the interest and dividends arising therefrom in equal proportions share and share alike. Also I direct that my said executor shall not pay over unto my said grandson John Knight his share of the monies and estate until he shall attain the age of twenty one years but shall invest the same for his benefit.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand at Saint John’s aforesaid this seventeenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety five.
