Will of John Bulley Ayre

IN RE:   JOHN BULLEY AYRE    DECEASED

This is the Last will and Testament of me John Bulley Ayre of St. John's Newfoundland Brker.

First: I revoke all former wills.

Second I will devise and bequeath unto my daughter Victoria Mary Jane Baird the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars, to be paid to her by my executor in annual instalments of twelve hundred dollars until the whole of the said sum is paid without interest.

Third: I leave forty three shares in The Newfoundland Brewery to my son in law James C. Baird.

Fourth I leave a suit of clothes to every man in my employment and a dress to every woman in my employment

Fifth. I leave the following money legacies to persons in my employment:

  • To John Young four hundred dollars:
  • to John O'Neil two hundred dollars:
  • to John March two hundred dollars:
  • to Elias March two hundred dollars:
  • to Mary Brace four hundred dollars:
  • to Mary Adams three hundred dollars.
  • To Hannah Savage formerly in my employment I leave three hundred dollars
Sixth: I leave fifty dollars to the South side Church

Seventh: all the rest residue and remainder of my estate I leave to my son George W. B. Ayre, whom I appoint Sole Executor of this my will.
Dated at St. John's this 30th day of November A.D. 1911 John Bulley Ayre Signed Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his Last will and Testament in our presence who in his presence and at his request have hereunto subscribed and names as witnesses Herbert Knight Mary Hennessey
