In re: JOHANNA PHALEN. DECEASED (first) I give devise and bequeath to my son William the Dwelling house and licensed premises in which I now reside and household furniture on the following conditions
(second) I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Bridget McGrath the Dwelling house situate on the north side of Pleasant Street and at present occupied by one Davis as tenant. (Third) I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Minnie Phelan the Dwelling house situate on the north side of Pleasant Street and occupied by one Williams as tenant. (Fourth) I give devise and bequeath to my son William my dwelling house situate on Brazils Square and at present occupied by one Ellis as tenant. (fifth) I give devise and bequeath to my son Patrick my land situate upon the Topsail road. Sixth I direct my executor hereinafter named to sell my piece of land adjoining John McCarthys Cottage situate on McKay Street in the west end of St. John’s and the proceeds of sale to go towards paying off my debts and mortgage upon the house in which I now reside. (Seventh) The rest and residue of my Estate I give devise and bequeath to my son William. I appoint my nephew Patrick J Shea of St. John’s executor of this my will and I direct him not to distribute my estate until he has paid all the debts including mortgage which I may owe at the time of my death and he is to pay my said debts out of the rents derived from my houses situate on Pleasant Street and Brazils Square.
