In re
          John McBride deceased.

This is the last will and testament of me John McBride of Saint John’s Newfoundland.     I desire that my just debts and my funeral and testamentary expenses shall be first paid.     I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Caroline all my estate both real and personal and all my property and effects of whatsoever nature and description for her sole and absolute use and benefit for ever.     I appoint my said wife Caroline sole executrix of this my will.     Witness my hand at Saint John’s this fifth day of January A.D. one thousand eight hundred and eighty two.     John McBride.     Signed published and declared by the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and the presence of each other have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses, D. Morison,     L.G. Macneill,     J.H. Martin.
