In the name of God Amen.     I John Condon of St. John’s Fisherman being in ill health and of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.     I hereby appoint my friends Sylvester Murphy James McLoughlan and John McCarthy executors of this my last will directing them to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses and the legacies hereinafter given out of my estate.     After the payment of my said debts and funeral expenses I give to the Orphanage of the Sisters of Mercy Belvidere the sum of ten pounds.     To His Lordship the Most Reverend Dr. Power Bishop of St. John’s the sum of thirty-six pounds ten shillings for Masses as follows: One High Mass for the repose of my soul One High Mass for the repose of the soul of my late wife Johanna Condon.     Ten low Masses for the repose of the soul of my late father Michael Condon.     Ten low Masses for the repose of the soul of my mother Bridget Condon.     Forty Masses for the repose of the soul of my brother Maurice Condon. Two Masses for the repose of the soul of my brother David Condon. Two Masses for the repose of the soul of my brother Thomas Condon and two Masses for the repose the soul of my brother Robert Condon.     I give to Mrs. Mary Dee my bed clothes and bedstead and I authorize my executors to give my wearing apparel to some poor man.     My executors are to sell and dispose of all my property and household furniture and should they have any money on hands after payment of my debts legacies and funeral expenses I do give and bequeath the same unto the Reverend John Ryan John Scott and Nicholas Roche for Masses for the repose of my soul to be equally divided between them.     In witness whereof I the said John Condon have to this my will set my hand this twenty fifth day of December A.D. 1881.     John Condon.     Signed and acknowledged by the above named John Condon as his will in the presence of us present at the same time who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses, M.H.
