I, Jessie Louise Pippy, of St. John’s, Newfoundland, widow of the late William G. Pippy, hereby revoke all former wills and testamentary dispositions made by me, and declare that this is my last Will and Testament.

1. I appoint Harry Cowan, of St. John’s, Merchant, to be executor of this my will.

2. I bequeath to my son Ernest Roy the goodwill of the business carried on by my late husband and at present carried on by my said son, together with goods and stock-in-trade used in connection with the said business to the value of one thousand dollars, the said goods and stock to be selected for himself by my said son. I also bequeath to my said son Ernest Roy machinery used in the said business to the value of five hundred dollars to be selected by him. I bequeath to my said son Ernest Roy the sum of one thousand dollars out of the book debts due the said business at the time of my death, and the further sum of one thousand out of my general estate.

3. My said son Ernest Roy shall hold the said business subject to the provision that he pay to my daughter Rita Isabel out of the income of the said business the sum of three hundred dollars yearly until she marries.

4. Subject as aforesaid my said son Ernest Roy shall be entitled to the said business and the income thereof for his own absolute use and benefit.

5. I direct that the residue of the book debts owing to the said business shall be collected, and that the remainder of the goods, stock-in-trade and machinery shall be sold, and the proceeds arising therefrom paid into my general estate for division according to the clause following.

6. I bequeath the whole of my personal property except the said business, consisting of house and furniture, the property mentioned in clause (5) and all other monies, investments, goods and chattels whatsoever remaining after payment of my just debts, testamentary and funeral expenses, to my four children, William George, Elsie Pearl, Chesley Alwin and Rita Isabel, in equal shares, I desire that my executor, in making such division, shall give effect, as far as possible, to the wishes of my said children; and in the event of any of my said property being sold, I direct that a first option to purchase be given to any of my said children who may desire it.
