IN RE: JAMES DEVEREAUX. DECEASED I appoint William J. Costello of ferryland and James Keough of Calvert to be my joint Executors. I give, devise and bequeath to my daughters Mrs Martha Costello and Mrs Maggie keough my house, barns live stock and contents of my house equally between them with the proviso that if she chooses my wife Mrs Johannah Devereaux is to have her own room and all in it for the rest of her natural life. I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Martha Costello my Meadow on Sunnyhill Also the property on the Slide Path under fence. I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Maggie Keough my Meadow on the Main Road. The Water Side premises in front of Edward Healey's house is to be divided equally between my daughters Martha and Maggie. I give, devise and bequeath to my brother Michael the Meadow known as "Culletons". The property on the Caplin Bay Road is to be divided in three parts Viz James keough to have the Eastern part, William J. Costello the middle part and Michael Devereaux the Western part. Should Michael Devereaux cut the wood on his part he is to give William Devereaux one third of the wood so cut. I direct that the contents of my Shop be sold to pay my just debts. I direct that my fishing traps etc, Motor Boat and engine be leased to my fishing crew as long as my brother Michael is skipper. If anything should happen to him the traps etc to pass to my daughters Martha & Maggie, of my shares, in the result of the voyage - a half of one share is to go to my wife Johannah Devereaux from (1926) the the balance to go to pay my just & lawful debts. In witness whereof I the said James Devereaux have to this my last Will and Testament set my name this fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty five.
