Will of Jane McKay
In re the Estate of

Jane McKay deceased.

This is the last will and Testament of me Jane McKay of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland widow, I hereby revoke all former wills and Testamentary dispositions by me made and declare this to be my last will and Testament. I appoint my sons William McKay and Andrew McKay to be the executors of this my last will and testament. I give devise and bequeath all property of every description of which I may die possessed to my executors upon the following trusts namely

First, that my executors shall pay all my lawful and just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses

Secondly that out of my estate my executors shall pay to my son James McKay the sum of three hundred dollars a year for his maintenance and support during the term of his natural life and upon the death of my said son James to divide the whole of my estate amongst my sons William McKay, Andrew McKay and Edward McKay share and share alike. It is my will and desire that my son James shall not marry. Should either of my said sons William McKay Andrew McKay or Edward McKay predecease me it is my will and desire that the share of my estate to which such deceased son would be entitled upon the death of my son James McKay shall go to the next of kin of such deceased son.

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this ninth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and four.
