Will of Jane Green

IN RE:   JANE GREEN.    DECEASED

This is the last will and testament of me Jane Green, at present of St. John's, but formerly of Herring Neck, Widow of James Green.

FIRST I direct that my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and Death Duties be first paid out of my estate.

SECOND I give and bequeath to the Wardens of St Marys Church, Herring Neck, the sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00) for the general purposes of the said Church.

THIRD: I give and bequeath to Mr Arthur Lloyd, son of my Executor hereinafter named, the sum of two hundred dollars ($200.00) absolutely.

FOURTH: I give and bequeath to my nephew Dorman Woodford of St. John's, the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) absolutely.

FIFTH: I give and bequeath to my niece Irene Torraville, of Herring Neck, daughter of Timothy Woodford, the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) absolutely.

SIXTH: I give and bequeath to my niece Matilda Rendell, of Boston, in the United States of America, the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) absolutely.

SEVENTH: I give and bequeath to my sister Mary Ann Burton, of Herring Neck, the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) absolutely.

EIGHTH: I give and bequeath to my nephew Edward Burton of Boston aforesaid, the sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00) absolutely.

NINTH: I give, devise and bequeath to my three brothers Thomas Thomas Woodford, Elias Woodford and Timothy Woodford and my sister Mary Ann Burton, all of Herring Neck, my land and dwelling house, together with the furniture therein situate at Herring Neck, in equal shares.

TENTH: Subject to the foregoing I give and bequeath the residue of my estate unto the Wardens of St Marys Church at Herring Neck aforesaid for the general purposes of the said church.

ELEVENTH: I appoint Rt. Hon. Sir William F. Lloyd, Registrar of the Supreme Court, sole executor of this my last will.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand at St. John's aforesaid this 10th day of March, A.D. 1926.
