Will of Jane Clateney

In re: JANE CLATENEY. DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me Jane Clateney of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland, Widow of Patrick Clateney, deceased.

I hereby give, devise and bequeath my house and land situate on Pilot's Hill in St. John's aforesaid and Numbered 18 and all other my property and effects to my niece Mary Ann Clateney, daughter of Daniel J. Clateney, for her sole and separate use and benefit.

I hereby appoint Daniel J. Clateney, Senior, as sole executor of this my last will. The 18th day of October Anno Domini 1916. Jane her X mark Clateney Signed by the said testator by making her mark thereto, after having been first read over and explained to her and she appearing to thoroughly understand the same in our presence, both being present at the same time who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto affixed our names as witnesses.
