This is the last Will and Testament of me James Stowe, of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Carpenter.

I hereby revoke all former wills and testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made and declare this to be my last Will.

I desire that all my just debts and testamentary expenses be first paid out of my estate.

I give to my brother Richard the sum of Seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750.00).

I give to my brother Samuel the sum of Seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750.00)

I give to Jane, the daughter of my brother Richard, the sum of Five hundred dollars ($500.00).

I give to Sarah Stowe, the widow of my late brother Eli, the sum of Two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00).

I give to Margaret Stowe, the widow of my late brother Fred, the sun of Two hundred and dollars ($250.00).

I give to my housekeeper, Mrs. Gertrude Kirby, the sum of One Hundred dollars ($100.00).

I give the residue of my estate and effects to Richard Stowe, and I appoint my brother, Samuel Stowe, the Executor of this my last Will and Testament.

In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand at St. John’s aforesaid this 5th day of December in the year of Our Lord One thousand Nine hundred and twenty two.
