In re: JAMES REID. DECEASED.
This is the last will and Testament of me James Reid of St. John's Grocer first after my just debts & funeral expenses are paid I leave and bequeath to my wife Johana Reid the sum of one thousand dollars
Second and to my son now residing New Jersey U.S.A. the sum of one thousand dollars Soon
Third I leave for masses for myself the sum of Forty dollars
Fourth. and I leave the sum of Forty dollars for Belvidere Orphanage
Fifth and Mount Cashel Forty dollars
Sixth and the sum of Twenty five dollars for Mt. Cashel Orphanage and to my nephew David Kenny the sum of Twenty five dollars and the sum of Forty dollars for my monument and I appoint Thomas Lynch as my executor to my last will and testament.
The residue of my personal estate after all expenses are being paid I leave to my wife as aforesaid mentioned. James Reid. Signed in the presence of us and in the presence of both of us and in other other presence. James H. Henderson. Thomas Lych. Charles H. Emerson Certified Correct. The forty dollars mentioned for Mount Cashel is a mistake the amount is in the second line J.H. Henderson Thomas Lynch.
