In re: JAMES P. HOWLEY. DECEASED.
This is the last will and Testament of me James P. Howley, of St. John's in the island of
Newfoundland, Geologist. I revoke all former wills by me at anytime made, and I appoint
my son
William R. Holly and my son-in-law John G. McCarthy the Executors of this my will:
I give
and
bequeath all my property of any kind to my said Executors upon trust in the first place
to pay
there out my debts and my testamentary and funeral expenses, and thereafter
in the
second place
to permit my wife to use and enjoy the rents income and profits thereof during her life,
and
in the
third place upon the death of my said wife to distribute the same as follows, namely: to
my three
daughters of Margaret, Katherine, and Elizabeth, two thousand dollars each;
To my three
sons
William, Richard, and James, one thousand dollars each: to my daughters Katherine and
Elizabeth in equal shares as tenants in common, my two houses Numbers 13 and 15, Military
Rd.
St. John's, notwithstanding the settlement of No. 13 military Road heretofore made by me
in
favor of my wife: To the Mount Cashel school of industry, two hundred dollars. To
Belvedere
orphanage, the Church of England orphanage, and the Methodist orphanage, one hundred
dollars
each: to St. Vincent de Paul Society and Dorcas Society, one hundred dollars each: and
all the
rest, residue, and remainder of my estate to my grandchildren living at the death of my
said wife,
in equal shares, witness my hand at St. John's this eighteenth day of June 1914 James P.

in
presence of us, both being present at the same time, who in his presence and at his
request
hereonto subscribe ourselves as witnesses attesting to the due execution hereof;-

I wish to join the name of my son James M.F. Howley as
joint
executor with the two above named. I also desire to provide for the education of my
grandson
