In re JAMES COOPER. DECEASED. This is the last will and testament of me James Cooper of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland made this third day of November A. D. 1921. I hereby revoke all former wills and testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made. I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as possible. I appoint my daughter Monica Cooper to be the Executrix of this my will. After my wife’s death I desire the following bequests to be carried out: (1) I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Monica my house No 44 Scott Street, St. John’s and all furniture effects and everything else in it with the exception of the parlour suite and Oil cooker. (2) I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Ethel the said parlour suite and to my daughter Anna the oil cooker. (3) I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Ethel my house 36 Spencer Street, St. John’s. (4) I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Mary Ellen, wife of Michael Rolls, my house 18 Field Street, St. John’s. (5) I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Alice (Sister Margaret Marie) my house No 34 Spencer Street. (6) I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Isabelle my house No 56 Carter’s Hill, St. John’s. (7) I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Anna Snedeker my house No 15 Tessier Place, St. John’s. (8) I give devise and bequeath to my daughter, Catherine wife of Herbert Emerson my house No 24 Tessier Place. All of the above property is to belong to my wife during her life time and the above bequests are to have no effect till her death. I give and bequeath to my son Terence all my working tools and utensils. I loaned him money at different times. All this money is to be his and is not to be payable to my estate. There is also a sum of about one hundred and fifty dollars due by him for goods I sold to him. This money is also to be his and is not to be payable to my estate. All the rest and residue of my property I leave to my wife absolutely. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand the day and year first above written. JAMES COOPER. Signed published and declared as and for his last will and testament by the said James Cooper in our presence both being present at the same time who at his request and in his presence have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
