In re: JAMES CONNOLLY DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me, James Connolly, of St. John’s, Laborer.

I revoke all former wills by me at any time made, and I appoint my son Patrick the Executor of this my will. I will and direct that my just debts and my funeral and testamentary expenses shall be first paid out of my Estate.

I give and bequeath to each of my daughters May harding and Margaret Earles the sum of Twenty dollars, this being the same amount which I have already paid over to my two other daughters Jane Atfield and Mary Whelan.

All the rest and residue of my Estate of every kind, including the leasehold house and property where I at present reside on LeMerchant Road, and the furniture therein and any cash remaining I give and bequeath to my said son Patrick for his own use absolutely.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St. John’s aforesaid this Tenth day of June A.D. 1920. JAMES his X mark CONNOLLY.

Signed published and declared by the testator as and for his last will and testament, in presence of us, both being present at the same time who at his request and in his presence hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses attesting the due execution hereof, the same having been first read over and explained to the testator who appeared perfectly to understand the same by making his mark thereto in our presence.
