He married Anne Burn/Byrne in Torbay 22 May 1859.
The sons named Michael and Patrick in the will were baptized as Michael Joseph Martin and Patrick Francis Martin.
Patrick Francis Martin died age 18 years in Torbay 10 years after his father on 18 Aug 1898.
His death notice noted that he left a mother, two sisters and two brothers. At this stage we do not know which brother predeceased him.
Another son Thomas is not mentioned in the will. He was baptised in 1871 and obviously had died before 1888.
