IN RE: HANNAH LOUISA WOODS. DECEASED
THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me Hannah Louisa Woods of St. John's, Widow of the late Hon. Henry J. B. Woods. I give and bequeath the following legacies, that is to say, -
1. To all my grandchildren who shall be living at the time of my decease the sum of Five hundred dollars to be equally divided amongst them, and to be paid to them regardless whether they or any of them have or have not reached the age of twenty one years.
2. To Mrs. Isabel Paine of Montreal, Widow of the late Rev. George Paine the sum of One hundred dollars.
3. To my sister-in-law Mrs. Charlotte E. Woods of Sackville N.B. Widow of the late Chesley Woods, the sum of Fifty dollars.
4. To Mrs. Lenora Wilson, wife of Rev. James Wilson the sum of Twenty five dollars.
5. To Mrs. Susie Thompson Widow of the late John Thompson of Boston the sum of Twenty five dollars.
6. To the Bible Woman the sum of Ten dollars to be sent to her in care of the Rev. Charles Posnett of Medak, India.
7. To Cochrane St. Women's Missionary Society the sum of Fifty dollars.
8. The sum of One hundred dollars shall be paid by my Executors IN TRUST to be invested by them in any security they deem fit and the income thereof to be used and applied towards the upkeep of the family plot in the General Protestant Cemetery.
9. After payment of the foregoing amounts and of my debts and funeral and testamentary expenses and the expenses of putting the monument in good order and condition It is my will that the rest residue and remainder of my estate and effects shall be divided into seven equal shares that is to say one share for each of my daughters now living and one share for the husband of my deceased daughter Katie. In the event of any of my said daughters predeceasing me her share shall go to her husband.
And I appoint Arthur C. Peters of St. John's, Accountant, and Alexander Marshall of the same place, Bank Manager, to be the Executors of this my Will.
