Will of Giles Foote

In re: GILES FOOTE . DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me Giles Foote at present of St. John’s merchant and I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made.

I give devise and bequeath to my sons William Kelson and Charles McFarlane, as tenants in common, all that land situate in Peter’s Arm, Bay of Exploits, which I hold under grant from the Crown, comprising now one hundred and fifty-seven acres.

I give devise and bequeath all the rest of my property of what kind soever, including money, of which I shall die possessed to my daughter Jessie.

I appoint my said son Charles McFarlane Foote executor of this my will. Dated at St. John’s this fourteenth day of March Anno Domini nineteen hundred and eleven. Giles Foote. Signed published and declared by the said Giles Foote as his last will and testament on the date aforesaid in presence of us the subscribers who in his presence and in that of each other have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses.
