In re: GEORGE LASH. DECEASED.
This is the last will and testament of me George Lash of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland Confectioner. I revoke all former wills and codicils by me at any time made. I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be first paid, my partnership debts will of course be paid by my brother and Partner Jeffrey Lash with whom I have been concerned in business under the firm of J.& G. Lash.
I give devise and bequeath all my property estate and effects of every description and kind and wheresoever situate to my said brother Jeffrey and my dear wife Marianne whom I appoint executors of this my will upon the terms and for the purposes and trusts hereinafter declared and subject to this direction that is to say- I direct that the joint business between myself and brother shall be carried on by him and under his management and controul for such time and in such manner as he may think proper and as we have heretofore done and Upon Trust that my said wife shall have the use of my share or portion of household furniture interest money dividends rents profits and advantages derivable from my property for herself and the maintenance support and education of our children as she and my said brother may think most conducive to their respective interests in life and after her death or marrying again in either of which events all her claim and interest shall cease all my said property Estate and effects shall be held in trust for the said children share and share alike and to the survivors in the event of the death of any under the age of twenty one years without leaving issue such issue to take the share of deceased Parent and when the said children shall have attained the age aforesaid he and she or lawful issue shall be entitled to the respective shares aforesaid.
Witness my hand and seal at Saint John's aforesaid this twenty second day of February Anno Domini eighteen Hundred and sixty eight.
