In re: GEORGE H. GODDEN . DECEASED.
May 29. 14. This is my last will. I appoint W.E. Wood of St. John’s as my executor.
I give to the said W.E. Wood Two hundred dollars, my sporting outfit & tools. I give my books on religious subjects to my cousin Rev. Llewellyn Godden. I give two hundred dollars to my brother Ernest Godden. I give Five hundred dollars to my brother Charles Godden. I give two hundred dollars to my niece Bessie Godden I give Five hundred dollars to my niece Margaret Wood I give Five hundred dollars to my sister Bessie Wood. I give one hundred dollars to my god-daughter Madge Ross I give Three hundred dollars to the Trustees of St. Augustine’s College Canterbury England I give Two hundred dollars to the Trustees of the Church of England Orphanage St. John’s N.F.
The balance of my estate to be invested and the interest paid half-yearly to my housekeeper Mrs. Philip Field Jr. during her lifetime, and after her death the above interest to be paid to any poor widow or widows belonging to St. Thomas Parish and recommended by the Rector of St. Thomas Parish.
