Will of George Cook Senior from Newfoundland will books volume 2 pages 515-516 probate year 1863

In re
         George Cook deceased.

This is the last will and testament of me George Cook of Saint John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Farmer.     It is first my will and desire that all my just debts be paid by my executor hereinafter named     I next will devise and bequeath unto my son George Cook Junior all that farm lands houses messuages and premises with their appurtenances now in my possession and occupancy situate near the road leading from Saint John’s aforesaid towards Logy Bay - To have and To Hold the said lands houses messuages and premises unto the said George Cook Junior in trust for him to pay and appropriate all the rents issues and profits thereof or so much thereof as may be required to and for the use support and maintenance of my wife Elizabeth Cook and my son Joseph Cook for the respective terms of their natural lives and on the decease of the survivor of them Then To Have and to Hold the said lands houses messuages and premises unto the said George Cook Junior his heirs and assigns for ever.     I give devise and bequeath my horse cow and all my farm stock and utensils unto my said son Joseph Cook- To Hold the same to him and his assigns for ever.     I give devise and bequeath unto my said wife Elizabeth Cook all my household furniture of every description.     To Hold the same to her and her assigns for ever.     I hereby revoke annul and disallow any former or other wills or testaments by me made or subscribed.     I hereby nominate and appoint my said son George Cook Junior sole executor of this my last will and testament-     Dated at Saint John’s in the Island of Newfoundland this     day of     Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and sixty three.     George his X mark Cook (LS)     Signed sealed published and declared by the said George Cook as and for his last will and testament being read over and explained in the presence of us who in the presence of each other and in the presence of the testator and at his request have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto, Thos. J. Kough,     William his X mark Lewis.
