Will of Francis Coady

In re: FRANCIS COADY. DECEASED.

This is the last will and Testament of me, Francis Coady, of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland, Shoemaker. I revoke all former wills by me at any time made and I appoint my wife Fannie the executrix of this my will.

I give and bequeath all my property of every kind whatsoever, including my leasehold premises No. 12 Dunford Street, to my said wife for her own use during her lifetime. Upon the death of my said wife I give and bequeath my said property to my son Leo upon the condition that he shall have supported and maintained his mother during her lifetime and paid the ground rent and other expenses of the said property. If my said son shall not so support and maintain my said wife, after my death, and pay the said expenses then and in such case I will and direct that the bequest to my said son shall not take effect and my said wife shall have power to dispose of my said property by will or otherwise as she may desire.

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St. John's aforesaid this Third day of September A.D. 1914. - Francis Coady - Signed, Published, and Declared by the testator as and for his last will and testament in presence of us, both being present at the same time, who at his request and in his presence hereunto subscribed ourselves as witnesses attesting the due execution thereof W J Higgins.
