Will of Esther McKie Mullowney from Newfoundland will books volume 10 pages 281-282 probate year 1914

In re    ESTHER MCKIE MULLOWNEY      deceased.

    This is the last will and testament of me, Esther McKie Mullowney of Witless Bay in the Electoral District of Ferryland-     Know all men by these presents that I Esther McKie Mullowney of Witness Bay in the District of Ferryland being in ill health but of sound disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.- As to all the worldly estate and all the property real, personal or otherwise of which I shall die worth and possessed or to which I shall be entitled to at the time of my decease, I divide, bequeath, and dispose of in the following manner to wit:-
    First I appoint as my sole executor my son Louis Mullowney of Witless Bay by whom all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall be found by him convenient.
    Second I give and bequeath unto my son Louis Mullowney my Fishing Room, consisting of store, stages and Flakes and the property known as “Beers Cove Property” also the gardens known as “The Old Chapel Garden” the garden known as “Watts Garden” the garden known as the “Folly Garden” the garden known as “Johns Garden” and the dwelling house with all the outhouses and whatsoever they may contain.
    Third I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Clare Mullowney my Piano to have and to hold forever.
    Fourth All the property named and willed to my son Louis Mullowney is to pass to his heirs after his decease.
    Fifth I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Ulton Mullowney of Brigus in the District of Porte de Grave Two hundred and fifty dollars.
    Sixth I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Jane Hanely in the District of St. John’s east Two hundred and fifty dollars.
    Seventh I give and bequeath to my daughter Gertrude C. Cashin of Cape Broyle in the District of Ferryland Two hundred and fifty dollars.
    Eight I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Clare Mullowney of Witless Bay in the District of Ferryland Two hundred and fifty dollars.     In witness whereof I the said Esther McKie Mullowney of Witless Bay have to this my last will and testament set my name this fifth day of November in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.     Esther McKie Mullowney. Signed by the testatrix and acknowledged by her to be her last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time, who at her request, in her presence and in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names as witnesses.
