In re: ELIZABETH WHELAN. DECEASED. FIRSTLY. I give devise and bequeath out of Six hundred dollars that I have deposited in the Savings Bank. To Revd D. OCallaghan I give Fifty Dollars for to help build his church at Outer Cove and Fifty Dollars more for masses for myself and my husband Edward Whelan: and to Father Goff Portugal I bequeath Fifty Dollars for the up keep of his Church and to him father Goff Fifty Dollars more to celebrate masses for my husband and my self Elizabeth Whelan and Edward. Also I give One hudnred dollars to have a tombstone and railing erected after my decease. To Bridget Larken Daughter of the late James Neill I give Fifty Dollars for her services and after paying Funeral and Testatory Expenses the balance of the above mentioned Six hundred dollars I give to my Brother Matthew Roche if he is living and if not it’s to be given to some poor Priest to have masses said for the intention of all our familys on both sides. Lastly I give devise and bequeath to Margaret Fleming Daugher of Matthew Roche my Bed and bedding, and all my clothes to Bridget Larken afore mentioned and that is all. FURTHER. I hereby direct and empower my Executors John Roche Sr of Torbay & Thomas O’Neill to dispose of the amount of money herein mentioned to Each Church and person after my decease. In witness whereof I Elizabeth Whelan the Testatrix to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal Eighth day of August A.D. 1921.
