In re     ELIZABETH GREEN deceased

    This is the last will and testament of me Elizabeth Green of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Widow.     I give and bequeath all my property to my brother James Joliffe of St. John’s aforesaid, Master Mariner, absolutely and I appoint him Executor of this my Will.     In witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Green have hereunto subscribed my name at St. John’s aforesaid this eighth day of April one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.     Elizabeth her X mark Green.     Signed by the above-named testatrix as her last will the same having been first read over to her in our presence, with her mark in the presence of us, both present at the same time, who in her presence and at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
