Will of Edward Chafe

IN RE:   EDWARD CHAFE.    DECEASED

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost Amen.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Edward Chafe - of Robert Chafe, deceased - of Petty Harbour. District of St John's West Dominion of Newfoundland.

I appoint my son Edgar to be my Executor.

I give devise & bequeath to my son Edgar, my dwelling house, and furniture etc, outhouses, & also two gardens, the one near the house and the one on the hill.

I give, devise and bequeath to my son Kenith my garden at Flat Rock, & also the sum of One Hundred Dollars.

I give, devise & bequeath to my daughters, Lucilla, Eliza, & Susannah the sum of One Hundred Dollars each; & to my beloved wife the balance of money in the Bank of Montreal.

In Witness Whereof I the said Edward Chafe of Robert, have to this my last Will and testament, set my name this Twenty Seventh day of November, in the year of our Lord, one thousand, nine hundred, and Twenty Four.
