In re: DORCAS COLLIS. DECEASED.

I, Dorcas Collis of St. John’s widow, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament:
After the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses, I give, devise and bequeath as follows:

(1) To Mrs. Elizabeth Adams of St. John’s Widow, for her very many acts of kindness to my deceased husband and myself the dwelling house numbered sixty nine Queen’s Road St. John’s, together with all the household furniture, goods and effects plate, linen, prints, and pictures contained in said dwelling house save and except that contained in the bequests hereinafter named.

(2) To my cousin Mrs. Fred Pike of St. John’s picture of Queen Victoria.

(3) To my cousin Mary J. Stewart of Corner Brook Bay of Islands one half dozen silver forks and one half dozen spoons.

(4) To Moses Spurrell of St. John’s the bottles, jars and scales now in the shop in said dwelling house sixty nine Queen’s Road.

It is my will and desire that the said Elizabeth Adams shall have erected a tombstone to the memory of myself and husband, and also an iron railing placed around the grave plot.

I appoint the said Elizabeth Adams Executrix of this my will.

St. John’s, January 15th 1918 DORCAS COLLIS.

Signed, Published and Declared by the said Testatrix as and for her last will and testament in our presence who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

This is a codicil to my will. The moneys payable by The British Society at my decease. I will and direct to be paid to my Executrix Mrs. Elizabeth Adams to be applied by her in the payment of my funeral expenses.

In all other respects I confirm my said will.
