Will of Charles Pippy

In re: CHARLES PIPPY. DECEASED.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Charles Pippy of Pouch Cove in the District of St. John’s East, General Dealer.

I appoint my son, Nathaniel and my daughter Jessie Mildred, Executors of this my last will and testament.

I give, devise and bequeath everything of which I shall die possessed, upon trust:

1. After payment of my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses out of my personal property, to hold all my lands and remaining personal property for the sole use and benefit of my wife, Jessie Ann Pippy during the term of her natural life.

2. Upon the death of my said wife, Jessie Ann Pippy;

(a) To transfer my lands at Pouch Cove known as the Bonus Land and The Farm (adjoining Grouchy) to my sons, Henry W., William, Frederick and Nathaniel, share and share alike.
(b) To transfer the field South of Nathaniel’s House to my said son Nathaniel.
(c) To transfer the Dwelling House now occupied by me together with all lands (including the Marsh) buildings and erections surrounding it and all furniture and personal effects therein contained, to my daughter, Jessie Mildred.
(d) To transfer all the rest, residue and remainder of my property whether real, personal or chattels real to my son Nathaniel and my daughter Jessie Mildred, share and share alike.

As I have already made advances to my married daughters, Elizabeth McKnight and Lucy Easterbrook I make no provision for them in this my last Will and Testament.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St. John’s, this seventh day of September, A.D. 1920. CHARLES PIPPY.
