Will of Bridget Duggan

In re: BRIDGET DUGGAN. DECEASED

This is the last will and Testament of me Bridget Duggan of St. John’s Licensed Publican after the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses I give devise and bequeath as follows: -
(1) To sister Christina of the Presentation Convent St. Patricks St. John’s the sum of four hundred dollars
(2) To Brother Ennis of Mount Cashel Torbay Road St. John’s the sum of four hundred dollars
(3) My share in the business carried under the name of Bridget Duggan Water Street St. John’s to Thomas Bride of St. John’s.
(4) The sum of four hundred to be devoted by my Executor towards defraying the costs of funeral expenses and Tombstone
(5) To the Belvedere Orphanage St. John’s the sum of four hundred dollars
(6) To the superioress of Littledale Convent St. John’s the sum of one hundred dollars
(7) To my brother Michael Duggan of Tipperary the sum of four hundred dollars
(8) To Annie Carew of St. John’s the sum of four hundred dollars
(9) To Minnie Pendergast of Boston the sum of four hundred dollars
(10) To Thomas Bride the rest residue of my Estate and effects of every kind and wheresoever situate I appoint said Thomas Bride Executor of this my will. Bridget Duggan Signed by the said Testatrix as and for her last will and Testament in our presence who in her presence and at her request have hereinto subscribed our names as witnesses at St. John’s this 2nd June A.D. 1909 The words "I appoint the said Thomas Bride Executor of this my will" having been first inserted on the 13th & 14th line 2nd page Daniel O’Callaghan M.P.
