Will of Bridget T. Devine

IN RE:   BRIDGET T. DEVINE.    DECEASED

This is the last Will of me Bridget T Devine of St. John's Newfoundland Widow and I revoke all former wills by me made. I appoint Marie Monica Devine, my adopted daughter, and Anastatia O'Mara of St. John's aforesaid wife of Michael J O'Mara executors of this my will

    1. I give to my niece Clara Kinsella one thousand dollars but if she should predecease me the said bequest shall go to my niece, her sister May.

    2. I give to the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation of St John's four hundred dollars ($400 xx) if said Corporation undertakes to have two low masses offered monthly in perpetuity one for the souls of my late husband and his family and one for the souls of me and my family. If for any reason the said Corporation shall not undertake to have said masses offered as aforesaid then the said four hundred dollars shall go to my executors in trust to have said four hundred dollars applied for the purposes of masses for myself and husband and mine and his respective families.

    3. The residue of my estate I give devise and bequeath to my said adopted daughter Marie Monica Devine.

    In witness whereof I have set my hand to this my will this 10th day of December 1924. BRIDGET T DEVINE.

    Signed by the testatrix Bridget T Devine for her last will in the presence of us who in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses
