In re: ANN GLASGOW. DECEASED.

In the name of God Amen. I, Ann Glasgow widow of John Glasgow of St. John’s being of sound mind memory and disposition do make this my last will and testament. I hereby appoint John Nash of St. John’s Wheelwright son of the late Thomas J. Nash to be my sole executor.

1st I direct my executor to pay all my just debts and my funeral and testamentary expenses.

2nd. I direct and bequeath two hundred dollars to my daughter Bridget Glasgow of St. John’s

3rd. I direct and bequeath twenty dollars to my daughter Margaret Duggen wife of James Duggen of St. John’s.

4th I devise and bequeath to my executor upon trust all my interest in five tenement houses situate on Water Street West to be dealt with as follows: to collect the rents for one year after my death and pay the current ground rent insurance and taxes on the said property and to divide the balance of the years rent equally between my three children Michael Margaret and Bridget After this one year expires to transfer all my interest in said property to my son Thomas. If the houses should be burnt or destroyed by fire within the above named period of one year after my death I desire my executor to collect the insurance monies payable in respect thereof and divide the net proceeds there of equally between my four children Thomas, Michael Margaret and Bridget.

I bequeath my household furniture (not including Thomas’ bed which is his own) to my daughters Margaret and Bridget in equal shares. Ann her X mark Glasgow Signed published and declared as and for her last will and testament at St. John’s this 19th day of February A.D. 1916 by the said testatrix in our presence present at the same time who in her presence and at her request and in the presence of each other (the same having been read over and explained to said testatrix) signed our names as witnesses William R.
