Will of Anne Bearns

In re: ANNE BEARNS. DECEASED

This is the last will and testament of me Anne Bearns of St. John's Newfoundland wife of Thomas Bearns of the same place.

I will devise and bequeath all and singular my lands property monies goods and chattels of every description whatsoever and wheresoever of which I shall die possessed or entitled or which at the time of my death shall be held by any person in trust for me, to my executor hereinafter named to be held by him in trust to and for the sole and separate use and benefit of my daughter Sydney Maud Bearns forever, free of all claims by any future husband of her the said Sydney Maud Bearns or by any persons whomsoever.

I hereby revoke all other wills by me made and I appoint my son William Munden Bearns of St. John's aforesaid executor of this my last will and testament March 4, 1880 Anne her X mark Bearns

Signed published and declared by the said testatrix Anne Bearns as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us the subscribers who in the presence of the said Anne Bearns and of each other have signed our names as witnesses of the due execution hereof having been first read over explained to and approved of by the said testatrix Geo. M. Johnson Thomas Bearns
