Will of Amelia Steer

IN RE:   AMELIA STEER.    DECEASED

This is the last will and Testament of me Amelia Steer of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland wife of John Steer of the same place Merchant.

1. I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Story the sum of Twelve hundred and Twenty-seven Dollars and Forty-six cents out of my moneys in Steer Brothers hands.

2. I also give and bequeath to the said Elizabeth Story any claim or interest I may have upon or in any life insurance upon the life of my husband and upon or in the dwelling-house and property situate on the corner of Hamilton Avenue and LeMarchant Road known as "The Maples"

3 I give and bequeath to my son Charles R. Steer the sum (amounting to about Eighteen Hundred Dollars) due by him to me under Mortgage upon his house on Hamilton Street.

4. All the rest residue and remainder of my property estate and effects of every description (including all property held by me or by trustee for me under Deed of Assignment in trust from my said husband) to my sons John E. Steer, Francis H. Steer and Charles R. Steer in equal shares.

5 I appoint my said three sons John E. Steer, Francis H. Steer and Charles R. Steer Executors of this my will. Witness my hand at Saint John's aforesaid this ninth day of September Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and nine. Amelia Steer Signed Published and Declared by the said Testatrix as and for her last will and Testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other (all present at the same time) have hereunto subscribed our names as witness Mark Fenwick Charles Hackett.
