Will of Alfred King

In re: ALFRED KING. DECEASED

This is the Last will and Testament of me Alfred King, of 138 Casey St. St. John’s whereas I am of sound and disposing mind, memory, and understanding, but being week in body, and desiring to have my worldly affairs settled. I make this my last will and Testament.

I do will devise and direct that Reuben Pippy, of Charlton St. John’s clerk; and William Howell of Cornwall Avenue St. John’s Tallyman be the executors of this my last will. I bequeath to my daughter Phoebe Jane Harris, wife of John Harris of St. John’s, the sum of one hundred dollars; I bequeath to my daughter Jessie Howell, wife of the above mentioned William Howell, the sum of one hundred dollars; I bequeath to my daughter Laura Pippy, wife of the above named Reuben Pippy, the sum of one hundred dollars. The residue of my estate I bequeath to my wife Selina King.

Dated at St. John’s this 21st day of April A.D. 1910 Alfred his x mark King Signed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who in the presence of the said Testator and of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto the same having been read over to the Testator in our presence Charles Hackett George Forshaw
