Will of Alexander Rodger

In re: ALEXANDER RODGER. DECEASED.

St. John’s Newfoundland
Sept 14th. 1922.

This is the last Will and Testament of Alexander Rodger St. John’s.
I herewith give and bequeath as follows To my oldest Son Stanley H. Rodger my Dwelling House on Barnes Road St. John’s also One thousand dollars Canadian Bonds also one share in the Red X Steam Ship Coy.

To my second son Herbert Freeman Rodger I bequeath Four hundred dollars.

To my third son William Rodger I bequeath all my right and interest in and to the Firm of A & M Rodger also two shares in the Red X Line and also One thousand dollars Canadian Bonds.

I bequeath One hundred dollars to each of my grand children namely Jas Alex Rodger Francis Mable Rodger and Douglas Rodger and to my niece Maud Crawford I bequeath One hundred dollars.

To my grand daughter Francis Mabel Rodger I bequeath My Piano.

To my daughter in law Edith J. Rodger I bequeath my Suite of Parlor Furniture.

To my son William I leave a Bed Room and dining Room Suite, also silver plate, old china, and books.

I desire that the balance of my Furniture etc be divided amicably between my daughter in law Edith Rodger and my son William. Should any friction occur over the division, I appoint Albert Freeman and Walter Edgar as Arbitrators whose decision shall be positive and final.

I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon as possible "No Flowers"

I appoint my sons Stanley H and William Rodgers Executors of this Will, and desire them to sell One thousand dollars bonds so as to pay my bequests.
The residue of my Estate shall be divided equally between my three sons.
