IN RE: ABRAM RIDEOUT. DECEASED
In the name of God. Amen.
I, Abram Rideout, of Longpond, in the Electoral District of Harbour Main, farmer, being of sound mind and understanding, do hereby make my last Will and Testament.
First. I give devise and bequeath to my wife Belinda Rideout, for her full and personal use and enjoyment during her lifetime, and at her death to my grandson Peter Benjamin Rideout the oldest son of my daughter Matilda, all my property including all my lands, houses, barns, and Stable, Cellar, farming implements, Cart, Dray, wagon, boats and engine and seine, and my share in the Bark Pot.
Secondly. I give, devise and bequeath to my wife Belinda Rideout all and whatsoever moneys and personal estate of which I may die possessed, to be possessed by her as her own, and to be used and disposed of by her as she may think fit.
Thirdly. I desire to confirm to my daughter Eliza Jane Morgan the deed of gift of a small portion of land which I gave to her by word of mouth about fourteen years ago, situate at Longpond and bounded as follows: On the East, South and West by land belonging to Jacob Porter, and on the North by land belonging to Frederick Fagan, and containing in all a quarter of an acre more or less, to be enjoyed by my said daughter Eliza Jane Morgan as her own property.
Fourthly. I appoint and direct the Reverend Hugh W. Facey, of Kelligrews as Executor of this my will, and I hereby revoke, disallow and disannul all other testaments, wills and bequests by me at any time made, declaring this and no other to be my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eight day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand nine hundred and Twenty five. ABRAM his X mark RIDEOUT.
