John J. Connolly deceased
In the name of God Amen. I John J. Connolly of St. John's,
Butcher, do make publish and declare this as and for my last will and testament
hereby revoking all other and formerly wills. I hereby nominate and
appoint my wife Blanche Connolly Executrix of this my last will directing
her as soon as possible after my death to pay all my just debts, funeral
and testamentary expenses.
1. I hereby direct my executrix out of that portion of my estate
referred to in paragraph 4 to continue the payment of the insurance premiums
on the life of my father Michael Connolly. After his death the amount
paid by way (?) insurance premiums shall no longer be a charge upon this
portion of my estate.
2. I bequeath to St. Bonaventure's College in St. John's this
sum of five hundred dollars and to St. Michael's Convent, Belvedere, the
sum of five hundred dollars.
3. To Mount Cashel Industrial School, St. John's, I give devise
and bequeath my farm on Logy Bay Road.
4. I give devise and bequeath unto my wife Blanche Connolly the
executrix named herein for her sole use and benefit the rest, residue and
remainder of my estate and all property of every description of which I
may die possessed. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed
my hand at St. John's this 19th day of February A.D. 1918 -John J.
Connolly- signed published and declared by the said Testator as and
for his last will and testament in our presence, who in his presence, at
his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed
