In re
John Ford deceased
This is the last will and testament of me, John Ford, formerly in the
service of the Hudson's Bay Company in Ungava and Labrador but now residing
at St. John's.
First; I desire that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary
expenses shall be paid out of my estate.
Second; I appoint my daughter, Elizabeth Ann Watson, and Chas
E. Hunt, of St. John's, Solicitor, and the survivor of them, executors
and executor of this my will.
Third; I give devise and bequeath all my estate, property, goods,
chattels and effects of every description of which I shall die possessed
to my four children, namely [1] Elizabeth Ann Watson, [2] Susan Jane Dickens,
[3] Samuel George Ford and [4] James Robert Ford, and to my adopted son,
Henry Ford, in equal shares between them, that is to say, each of the said
five legatees shall be entitled to a fifth share of my estate.
Fourth; In the event of any of the said five legatees predeceasing
me leaving a child or children surviving I desire that the share of the
legatee so predeceasing me shall pass to and be payable to such child,
or, if more than one child, than equally among such children. Witness
my hand at St. John's this nineteenth day of December A.D. one thousand
