This last will and testament of me Mary Hannah Skelton of St. John's widow of the late John Skelton Physician and surgeon revokes former wills by me made.
[1].  I appoint my nephew [Randell McGown] and John S. Munn and Brian Dunfield Executors hereof.
[2].  I desire to be buried beside my husband, and that a suitable monument be set up at our grave.
[3].  My silver spoons and forks shall be divided between my nephews William T. McGowan, Randell McGown, and Gerald R. McGowan or such of them as shall survive me: Should only one of them survive me, said spoons and forks shall go to him.
[4].  This will executes the power referred to in paragraph 6 of my husband's will and deals with the "one moity(?) or half of all [his] estate to wit of the principal the annual proceeds whereof [were] bequeathed to [me] pursuant to the terms of paragraph five" of his will probate whereof was granted in April 1891, which half is herein referred to as "the said one-half of principal estate."
[5].  I bequeath one undivided sixth of the said one-half of principal estate to each of the following:-  [a] to my nephew, William T. McGowan, [B.] to my nephew, Randell McGown, [C.] to my nephew, Gerald R. McGowan,  [D.] to my niece, Ellen [Nellie] Nelton,  [E.] to Elizabeth Shannon daughter of my niece May Munn.
[6].  I bequeath the remaining sixth in equal thirds to Mrs. Francis E. Field, Mrs. Mary Rendell, and Mrs. Fredica T. White.
[7].  If either of my said nephews shall have pre-deceased me, his shares shall go to his brothers or brother surviving at my death.  Should Nellie Nelton pre-decease me, her share shall pass to her father, but if both of them shall have pre-deceased me, it shall go to my nephew Bertram Nelton.  If my said grandniece shall pre-decease me, her share shall go to the survivors or survivor of them at my death.
[8].  I bequeath my property other than the said one-half of principal estate, and that referred to in paragraph 3, to the same parties and in the same proportions as I have bequeathed the said one-half of principal estate.  Dated St. John's this nineteenth day of April A.D. 1917    M.
