Will of John Cuthbert of St. John's
In re 
John Cuthbert  deceased

In the name of God Amen  I John Cuthbert of County Meadaro Parish of Marykirk Scotland residing in Saint John's Newfoundland being wake in body but in perfect memory do give and bequeath unto my lawful wife Hanna Cuthbert my whole holdings and effects what remains after my death and the cost of my burial  I John Cuthbert do bequeath unto my son William Cuthbert one single shilling until after the death of the said Hannah Cuthbert being the mother of the said William Cuthbert 
I John Cuthbert aforesaid do bequeath to my son what property and effects remaing in the possession of Hanna Cuthbert after her death and the cost of her burial 
I John Cuthbert do sign and assail being thus my last will and testament granting Hanna Cuthbert the power and authority as executor over my effects and property 
I John Cuthbert do grant Hugh Hamlin of Saint John's the aforemention power and athority as executor of my effects and property Given under my hand this seventh day of April 1825.  John Cuthbert [LS]
