 Petition of Selina Bennett - Estate of John Dawe
To the Honorable the Supreme Court or to one of the Honorable
the Judges thereof.

 The petition of Selina Bennett of St. John’s married woman

    Respectfully sheweth as follows:-

(1). John Dawe late of Port de Grave Fisherman deceased and husband of your Petitioner  died there on or about the 29th day of August A.D. 1898 intestate.

(2). The said deceased left him surviving your Petitioner his Widow now the wife of Philip Bennett two brothers Samuel and Elijah who has since died leaving his  Widow and two children who reside at Ship Cove one sister Sarah Fanny wife of  Jacob Bradley.

 (3).The said deceased at the time of his death was possessed of property of the probable  value of one hundred and twelve dollars ($112.00) no probate of Will or letters of  administration of the estate of said deceased have been previously applied for.

  Your Petitioner therefore prays that letters of administration of the estate  of said deceased may be granted to her.

   And as in duty bound will ever pray.
