Will of William Joseph Ring of St. John's

This is the last Will and Testament of me, William Joseph Ring, of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Cooper, made this 27th day of September, A.D. 1928.

I hereby revoke all former Wills and testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made.

I desire that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses be paid out of my Estate as soon after my death as may be convenient.

I appoint as Executor of this my last Will, my eldest son, Thomas Joseph Ring, of St. John’s aforesaid, harness maker.

I give and bequeath to my daughter, Mrs. William Lee, at present residing in New York, in the United States of America, the sum of Six hundred dollars.

I give, devise and bequeath  to my son, Edward Joseph Ring, at present residing in Hamiliton, Bermuda, the sum of One hundred dollars.

I give devise and bequeath the sum of One hundred dollars to be devoted to paying for two High Masses for the repose of the Souls of my deceased Wife, Catherine, and myself.

I desire that the sum of One hundred dollars be expended for my funeral expenses.

I give, devise and bequeath to my eldest Grand-daughter, Kathleen Ring, daughter of my eldest son, Thomas Joseph Ring, Fifty dollars and also my piano.

All the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate I leave to my eldest son, Thomas Joseph Ring aforesaid.

In WITNESS WHEREFORE  I have hereunto subscribed my hand to this my Will, the Day and Year first above written.  
Signed, published and declared by the above named William Joseph Ring as and for his last Will and Testament in our presence, both being present at the same time, who at his request and in his presence have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses.
