In re
Alfrida Parsons deceased This is the last will and Testament of me of Alfrida Parsons of St. John's in the island of Newfoundland, Spinster. First, I give devise and bequeath unto Lenora Wilson, wife of Reverend James Wilson, my messuage (?) and premises situate on the North side of Quidi Vidi Road, consisting of the house known as "Jubilee cottage", the ground on which same stands and the garden connected therewith and all outhouses with an entrance to the rear of the house from Quidi Vidi Road running North towards the Pond, for and during the term of her natural life and after her death I give devise and bequeath the same to Elsie Wilson, daughter of the said Lennora Wilson, absolutely. Second. I give and bequeath all my personal effects and all my household furniture chattels and effects to the said Lennora Wilson for and during the term of her natural life, and after her death I give and bequeath the same to the said Elsie Wilson absolutely. Third. I will and direct that the large field lying between Jubilee Cottage and Quidi Vidi Lake shall be sold and that the proceeds shall form last of the residue of my estate. Fourth. I will and direct that all my death, funeral and testamentary expenses and death duties shall be paid out of the residue of my estate, and subject thereto, I give and bequeath the said residue as follows, that is to say. To Beatrice Taylor wife of Enos Taylor one hundred dollars; to Alice Butler daughter of Boyd Butler, Fifty dollars; to Gladys Peters, daughter of Arthur C. Peters, fifty dollars. To Max Lindsey son of Eugene Lindsey, twenty dollars: to Marjorie Mews, daughter of Arthur Mews, twenty dollars; to Eric Peters son of Arthur C. Peters, twenty dollars, to Kelvin Marshall son of Alexander Marshall, twenty dollars; to Millicent Woods, daughter of the late Hon. H. J. B. Woods, fifty dollars; to Alfred Wilson, son of said Reverend James Wilson fifty dollars, to Harry Wilson, son of said Reverend James Wilson fifty dollars; to Hannah Woods widow of the late Hon. H. J. B. Woods fifty dollars: to Isabel Payne widow of the late Rev. George Payne fifty dollars: to my Executor for the purpose of improving and caring for my father's plot in the General Protestant Cemetery wherein I expect to be buried Four hundred dollars: to James P. Blackwood, of St. John's, Solicitor, one hundred dollars. Fifth. The balance of the residue of my estate I give as follows:- to Susie Thomson of Boston, widow, one-half, to Emma Parsons, widow of my late brother one sixth; to the said Elsie Wilson one-twelfth: to Millicent Wilson daughter of the said Reverend James Wilson one-twelfth: and to the said Leonna Wilson one sixth. Sixth. I appoint Arthur C. Peters of St. John's, Executor of this my will. In witness whereof I the said Elfrida Parsons have to this my will set my hand this second day of April one thousand nine hundred and eighteen. Elfrida Parsons. Signed by the above-named Alfrida Parsons as her last will in the presence of us, present at the same time, who at her request, in her presence and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses Elsie Lenora Wilson James P.
