In re
Anthony Gardiner deceased This is the last will and Testament of me Anthony Gardiner of Saint John's Fishermen. 1. I appoint my son Pierce Gardiner of Saint John's aforesaid Fishermen and my daughter Ellen Tobin wife of Thomas Tobin of Saint John's aforesaid Fishermen Executors of this my Will. 2. I give devise and bequeath to my said son Pierce Gardiner all my fishing rooms and property and all my fishing gear and material of every description at Groais(?) Island and the sum of Eleven Hundred Dollars. 3. I give devise and bequeath to my said daughter Ellen Tobin my Dwelling House No. 14 Young Street with all my household furniture and effects and the sum of One Thousand Dollars. 4. I give and bequeath to my Grandchildren viz:- Patrick Gardiner, Ambrose Gardner, Julia Tobin, Albert Tobin and John Tobin the sum of Two Hundred Dollars each. 5. All the rest residue and remainder of my Estate and effects of every description I give devise and bequeath to my said son Pierce Gardiner and my said daughter Ellen Tobin equally. Witness my hand at Saint John's aforesaid this 18th day of April Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and eighteen. Anthony his X mark Gardiner signed by making his mark Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other [all presence at the same time] have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
