In re
William Nugent deceased In the name of God Amen. This is the last will and Testament of
me William Nugent of Outer Cove near St. John's Farmer. First, I
give devise and bequeath to my dear wife Johanna Nugent for and during
her natural life all the property that I die possessed of irz(?):- house
barn farm and all farming utensils, and stock of every kind including horses
cattle now on the farm. Second after the death of my said wife Johanna
Nugent it is my will and desire that my property be divided as follows.
That is to say the farm and all stock and utensils thereon are to be equally
divided between my two sons Patrick Nugent and John Nugent share and share
alike, except that my son John is to have the house in which I now reside,
and he is to assist his brother Patrick to build a house if Patrick ever
needs one. I appoint my son in law Patrick Maher of St. John's Shoemaker
to be executor of this my last will and testament Dated at Outer
Cove near St. John's Newfoundland this 16th day of August - A.D. 1901.-
William his X Mark Nugent. Signed Sealed delivered and declared by
the said testator as and for his last will and testament in our presence
who at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed
our names as witnesses on the day and date before written the said testator
signed by making his Mark the said last will and testament having
been first carefully read over and explained to said testator who seemed
to perfectly understand the same.
