Will of Samuel James MacNeil
In re                    
Samuel James MacNeil  deceased.

This is the last Will and Testament of meSamuel James MacNeil of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland Lumber Surveyor.  I hereby revoke all former Wills and Testamentary dispositions by me made at any time and declare this and none other to be my last Will and Testament.
1.  I give devise and bequeath my dwelling house in which I now reside at No. 47 situate on Merry Meeting Road in Saint John's aforesaid together with the land outhouses appurtenances and erections thereto belonging and also all my pictures, trinkets furniture and household effects [save and except as to the bequest to my grandson Hector hereinafter mentioned] unto my niece Cecelia Augustus Llyall absolutely and for ever: And it is my wish and desire that my said niece shall during the lifetime of my wife Elizabeth Ann MacNiel support and maintain her as she is now maintained and supported by me and
2.  I give devise and bequeath my dwelling house which is now occupied by my daughter-in-law Fanny MacNiel, widow and situate on Merry Meeting Road in Saint John's aforesaid together with the lands and other erections thereon unto my grandson Hector McNiel [son of the late James MacNeil] and I give to him my two writing desks [the square folding cabinet writing desk, and the writing desk bound in brass and also all my silver watch and chain which I now wear to hold the same absolutely and for ever.
3.  I give devise and bequeath all my guns and fire arms of every description and also all cleaning and reloading implements and other implements, tools, apparatus and ammunition for the same or used in connection therewith which I have, unto my son Charles MacNiel absolutely.
4.  I give devise and bequeath all my carpentering tools, turning lathe and all other articles of every nature and description whatsoever which I have unto my grandson William James MacNiel absolutely.
5.  I give devise and bequeath all my interest in and to Masonic Insurance and the moneys to be payable under same unto my wife Elizabeth Ann MacNiel I appoint Cecelia Augusta Llyall aforesaid Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.  In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand subscribed this seventh day of March Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and four.  Samuel J. MacNiel.  Signed by the said Samuel James MacNiel as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.  Andrew Wilson.  S.
